5 whole days of film making
Whichever way we turn we are confronted with moving images through Film, Television, Internet and even our mobile phones. These are all used to entertain but also to inform and to educate and are inescapably part of everyday life no matter which path in life you tread. Our aim is to encourage people to take ownership, to enjoy and to give everyone a voice.
Our young student crews (10 to 16yrs) are divided into film crews and each crew spends the week learning how to make a film then making their very own mini feature film fully edited on to DVD.
The 5 day course will cover Acting, directing, storyboarding, location managing, camera operating, editing.
Meet new friends, have fun, learn about the art of the film maker with practical hands on experience under expert guidance.
We then screen the film on a big screen in the autumn at a special Stage One Film Premiere to which our crews can invite friends and family! The students will be taken through the various stages of film making from script to end product. All students will be required to perform either in front (Acting) or behind the camera (Director, asst. directors, runners, make up, costume etc.) and will be guided by a professional film maker throughout the process. Every student will be allocated a job with responsibility and will be expected to conform to the discipline of film making and not behave in a disruptive and or negative manner.
The course runs from Monday to Friday from 12th July to 16th July 2009. 10am to 1pm (1 hour lunch break) then 2pm to 5pm.
The course H.Q. is at The Locus Centre, The Square, Aberfeldy and filming on location in and around Aberfeldy and district.
All filming and editing equipment is supplied.
Cost for 5 day course £225.00 including all tuition fees and includes a daily packed lunch and drinking water available throughout the day.
